Tried you solution. It works but... well it&#039;s incredible slow. I&#039;m using KDE 4.1 and when examining the .xsession-errors it&#039;s full of messages like:
&lt;code&gt;
&quot;couldn&#039;t lock local file&quot;
&lt;/code&gt;

Every service then fails to start. Example
&lt;code&gt;
kwin: Fatal IO error: client killed
&lt;/code&gt;

Any idea?</description>
