It really is difficult as a writer to have to research and figure out the key points of interest in a release. I love to learn and write about software, but I need at least some bare-bones facts to get started with. If developers can take the time to present some key points – and especially those more technical (and often critical!) aspects that the less knowledgeable marketing folk like myself might miss, then we can do a far better job of informing users about their fantastic work.

What’s the point of producing a great piece of software if nobody discovers it?
