subversion with libserf – continued

March 15th, 2012 by

Further about my work on packages for Apache Subversion with support for serf / libserf / ra_serf, that repository access module was not made default in the 1.7 release after all. Anyway, version 1.0.13 of serf is now available in devel:libraries:c_c++ with the intention of getting this into and in Factory. You will find current Apache Subversion packages with fixed conditional compilation against serf in home:AndreasStieger:serf home:AndreasStieger:branches:devel:tools:scm:svn devel:tools:scm:svn for testing.

Updated 27/05/2012: repository locations
And again after SR#122507 was accepted.

    In der Hoffnung, dass die Kommentare hier im Forum überhaupt auftauchen:

    Das Repo oben scheint auch nicht zu gehen: “Objekt nicht gefunden!”

    Hi Andreas,

    I’m in desperate need of subversion built against serf, as neon for some reason stopped working (there are many reports about “svn: OPTIONS of ‘http://xxx.org/xx ‘: could not connect to server” problems with, the fix being http-library=serf).

    The repository you mentioned (home:AndreasStieger:serf) seems to be gone, at least I can’t find it. I’ve also tried:

    http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/devel:/tools:/scm:/svn/openSUSE_11.4
    http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/devel:/libraries:/c_c++/openSUSE_11.4

    Both of which don’t seem to contains subversion binaries built against serf. It think it would be quite helpful to provide such I binary, as I suspect I’m not the only one having these problems.

    Thanks,
    Chris
