To troubleshoot just verify you get the latest one.
zypper se -s fglrx shoud show 8.881 as version

Then, if in the amdccle you didn’t see 11.8, the update has failed somewhere (mostly this happen when the update is made under X)
I would then goes to console, (close you xorg session), then ctl+alt+f1, log as root, init 3 (shutdown xorg)
then zypper rm fglrx, zypper in fglrx should fix it.

We know that testing with high end hardware is hard for example to Sebastian Siebert. That’s why we open the pledge to help him to get a real recent gpu and double screen
